All Strengthening products are best used in conjunction with Pelvic Floor PT

We reviewed all bluetooth compatible pelvic floor strengthening devices out there and The Elvie was determined the winner by all of our Pelvic Floor therapists!

  • Best internal fit

    • small, sleek and comfortable compared to others

  • Most accurate reading

    • with the newest technology the elvie reads velocity and direction of contraction to give you the most custom reading.

  • Best used in conjunction with pelvic floor physical therapy in order to determine how frequently you should use it to achieve your desired goals, as well as to make sure you are not “cheating the reader” as it is possible to fool the device and make it seem like you are strengthening when you are not.

  • Your pelvic PT can tell you if you even need this device too, as some women have OVERACTIVE pelvic floor muscles and would NOT benefit from this device.

  • Useful for some people who are having trouble feeling the pelvic floor contraction in standing.

  • Start with the lightest weight, place inside the vaginal just like a tampon. Stand in front of a mirror or in shower and look down at the string hanging out. When you contract pelvic floor muscles, you should see the string lift upwards towards your head. When you relax PFM you should see the string drop down low.

  • General protocol to start is 10 repetitions, 3 sets/ day or every other day.

  • Progress to heavier weights as it begins to feel easier to hold the lighter weight inside.

  • DO NOT simply walk around with these inside for 30 minutes.
